چکیده
For finite-time quantum Otto heat engine with working fluid consisting of either a (i) qubit or (ii) harmonic oscillator, we show that the relative fluctuation output work is always greater than corresponding input absorbed from hot bath. As result, ratio between and receives lower bound in terms square value average efficiency engine. The saturation received quasi-static limit can be shown for class fluids follow scale-invariant energy eigenspectra under driving.

The Quantum Harmonic Otto Cycle
The quantum Otto cycle serves as a bridge between the macroscopic world of heat engines and the quantum regime of thermal devices composed from a single element. We compile recent studies of the quantum Otto cycle with a harmonic oscillator as a working medium. This model has the advantage that it is analytically trackable. In addition, an experimental realization has been achieved, employing a...
متن کاملOccurrence of discontinuities in the performance of finite-time quantum Otto cycles.
We study a quantum Otto cycle in which the strokes are performed in finite time. The cycle involves energy measurements at the end of each stroke to allow for the respective determination of work. We then optimize for the work and efficiency of the cycle by varying the time spent in the different strokes and find that the optimal value of the ratio of time spent on each stroke goes through sudd...
متن کاملLower Bounds for Generalized Quantum Finite Automata
We obtain several lower bounds on the language recognition power of Nayak’s [12] generalized quantum finite automata (GQFA). Techniques for proving lower bounds on Kondacs and Watrous’ one-way quantum finite automata (KWQFA) were introduced by Ambainis and Freivalds [2], and were expanded in a series of papers. We show that many of these techniques can be adapted to prove lower bounds for GQFAs...
متن کاملBounds on Nonlinear Motion for a Finite Time*
Recent improvements in numerical methods to compute canonical transformations make it feasible to set interesting bounds on the motion of nonlinear Hamiltonian systems over a finite interval of time. INTRODUCTION The existence of invariant surfaces in phase space has a direct bearing on the stability of motion in cases of low dimension, but only an indirect implication in cases of higher dimens...
متن کاملFinite-Time Bounds for Fitted Value Iteration
In this paper we develop a theoretical analysis of the performance of sampling-based fitted value iteration (FVI) to solve infinite state-space, discounted-reward Markovian decision processes (MDPs) under the assumption that a generative model of the environment is available. Our main results come in the form of finite-time bounds on the performance of two versions of sampling-based FVI. The co...
